ISTANBUL - Superleague club Besiktas announced on Wednesday that they had agreed on transfer of its striker Ilhan Mansiz to J-League first division club Vissel Kobe for 4 million 384 thousand 500 U.S. dollars.
Sending a statement to the stock exchange, Besiktas club said, ''as a result of talks between the Crimson Football Club Co. Ltd. and our firm, we have reached an agreement on transfer of our player Ilhan Mansiz for 4,384,500 U.S. dollars fee. This agreement will take effect after Mansiz undergoes health control.''
The 28-year-old striker who scored the golden goal that took Turkey into the semi-finals of the 2002 World Cup will officially sign a two-year deal with Kobe on Thursday.
