ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said on Tuesday that everything continued properly in New York so far.
Gul returned to Turkey after completing his official visit to Poland.
Replying to questions of reporters at Ankara's Esenboga Airport, Gul said Cyprus talks would start at 23.00 local time today, and recalled that several preliminary talks were held in New York today.
Gul said, ''everything continued properly so far, and we hope it will continue.''
Stressing that both Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Turkey aimed at finding a solution till May 1, Gul said efforts continued and that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was given information continuously.
Gul said he would meet with ministers related to Cyprus issue this evening, stressing that Prime Minister Erdogan would join this meeting after returning from Southern Korea.
