Eight More Injured People To Be Sent To Turkey From Iraq

ANKARA - Patriotic Union of Iraqi Kurdistan (PUK) high-level official Berham Salih met on Tuesday with Turkey's Special Envoy to Cyprus Osman Koruturk.
During the meeting, Salih conveyed their request to send eight more people, who were seriously injured in the twin suicide attacks on offices of PUK and Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in Irbil on the first day of Muslim's Feast of Sacrifice on February 1, 2004, to Turkey for medical treatment.
Sources said that Ankara was positive about the proposal.
The injured people are expected to brought to Turkey in the shortest possible time.
Earlier, seven civilians, who were injured in the attacks, were brought to Turkey.
Meanwhile, the future of Iraq was also brought onto agenda during the meeting.
Sources quoted Salih as saying that all groups in the country should have proportional representation in the administration with their own sphere of influence.
Salih highlighted importance of Iraq's territorial integrity for the whole region.
Presence of Turkish soldiers in northern Iraq was not taken up at the meeting.
