Erdogan Attends Meal Hosted By Hyundai Company In His Honor

PUSAN - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Hyundai Company's setting up an automobile factory in Turkey in 1995 was an important step taken to develop economic relations between two countries.
Erdogan attended the meal hosted by Hyundai Company in his honor in Pusan.
Erdogan expressed his pleasure to visit Hyundai Company which fulfilled one of the most concrete and successful experiences in regard to economic cooperation between Turkey and Korea.
Noting that Hyundai Company's setting up an automobile factory in Turkey in 1995 was an important step taken to develop economic relations between two countries, Erdogan said that Turkey was a market that was not stranger to South Korean automotive sector and especially to Hyundai.
Erdogan said, ''Turkey is a country that draws the attention of foreign investors due to its strengthening economy, its manpower and strategical importance. Turkey provides big convenience to foreign investors with foreign investment law that came into effect. Under the light of these new conveniences, we hope necessary steps will be taken for increasing the capacity of Hyundai automobile factory which is the biggest investment of South Korea in Turkey. On the other side, Turkey is a door to west with its Customs Union agreement with the European Union (EU).''
Erdogan said that Turkey could be a base of Hyundai Group both in Middle East and in Caucasia, Turkish Republics and Balkans.
Erdogan said, ''we all believe necessity of continuing the strong ties coming from the past also in economic field.''
