Amnesty International Secretary General Khan Meets With Representatives Of Non-governmental Organizations

ISTANBUL - Amnesty International (AI) Secretary General Irene Khan met on Monday with representatives of non-governmental organizations.
The meeting at the AI office is Istanbul was closed to the press.
Khan will proceed to Ankara after completing her visit to Istanbul.
She is scheduled to meet with members of Parliamentary Human Rights Commission, Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu, and Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will receive Khan and accompanying delegation on Thursday.
Khan will pay a visit to southeastern province of Diyarbakir on Friday.
After holding talks with representatives of non-governmental organizations in Diyarbakir, Khan will depart from Turkey on Saturday.
