Sakip Sabanci International Research Awards To Be Given In Washington D.C.

ISTANBUL - Second of "Sakip Sabanci International Research Awards" will be given on May 10th at a ceremony to be held jointly by Sabanci University and Brookings Institute in Washington D.C.
Former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Richard Holbrooke will deliver a speech at a conference to be held prior to award ceremony. Guler Sabanci, Chairperson of Sabanci University's Board of Trustees, will also attend the award ceremony.
42 articles from Turkey as well as Canada, USA, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Moldova, Norway, Israel and Serbia will compete for the research award that has the theme of "Perceptions on Ottoman Heritage in Balkans and the Middle East".
