150,000 Western Thrace Turks Need Turkey, Serif

EDIRNE - "150,000 Western Thrace Turks need Turkey," Ibrahim Serif, the elected Mufti of Komotini said on Monday.
Speaking at a ceremony held in Ipsala town of northwestern city of Edirne, Serif said Western Thrace Turkish minority remained on the other side of Meric River in 1923, indicating that, "in order to live as Muslim Turks in the Balkans and maintain their culture, the Turks living in Greece, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Albania, Macedonia and Romania have to flourish relations with Turkey."
Serif said 10 million Muslim Turks were living in the Balkans, noting that Western Thrace Turks needed Turkey.
