CIZRE - "Around 400-500 houses and work places and 11 schools were damaged in flood," Gokhan Azcan, Governor of Cizre town of southeastern city of Sirnak, said on Monday commenting on the flood triggered by torrential rains in the town on Sunday.
In an exclusive interview with the A.A correspondent, Azcan said, "a woman died while 3 people who were shocked were hospitalized."
More than 70 teams endeavour to discharge water from the houses and business places, he noted.
"The Turkish Red Crescent will erect tents in case of any need. We decided to recess the schools for one day," Azcan indicated.
