Foreign Capital In Turkey

KOCAELI - The number of foreign companies active in Turkey reached 14,955 in 2006, financial sources said on Monday.
According to a report prepared by the Izmir Chamber of Commerce, USD 19.8 billion foreign capital entered Turkey last year.
While the number of foreign companies active in Turkey in 1999 was a mere 4,141, this number went as high as 14,955 in 2006.
Most of the foreign companies operating in Turkey are active in the financial sector, followed by transportation and communications.
