Turkish And European Workers Join Forces To Erode Prejudices

ANKARA - Workers' unions of Turkey and seven European Union (EU) member countries will carry out a project aiming to erode prejudices of Turkish and EU citizens, which might jeopardize Turkey's EU membership.
Turkey's leading workers unions, namely Confederation of Revolutionary Workers' Unions (DISK), Confederation of Turkish Labor Unions (Turk-Is), The Confederation of Public Sector Labour Unions (KESK), Trade Union Confederation (Hak-Is) will participate the two year project with the theme "dialogue of civil society & culture of collaboration."
Worker unions from France, Italy, Belgium, Greece, Sweden, Slovakia and Germany, as well as some international labour unions will partake in the project.
1,300 workers from Turkey and 527 workers from the EU member countries would participate. By means of surveys, conferences, training courses, and seminars, the project is aimed to create contact and exchange of experience between the parties.
