ANKARA - Three out of six suspects were arrested for their alleged involvement in last week's attempted attack on Higher Education Board (YOK) Chairman Prof. Dr. Erdogan Tezic.
The suspects were interrogated by prosecutor Huseyin Gorusen.
Following the interrogation, three suspects, including Nurullah Ilgun, were arrested by the court on charges of "attempted homicide", "breach of anti-terrorism law" and "possession of unlicensed weapon".
They were sent to prison.
Ilgun attempted to attack on YOK Chairman Prof. Dr. Tezic on April 25th. He tried to meet Prof. Dr. Tezic at the YOK Headquarters in Ankara. When his demand was turned down, he shot in the air three times and fled from the area. He was captured by security forces later.
