Erdogan In South Korea

SEOUL - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan started his visit to Seoul, South Korea on Sunday.
Erdogan firstly visited Ankara Park in the city and the Ankara House which was built in its original form in the park.
After visiting the house, Erdogan talked to Turkish citizens who were waiting for him.

ERDOGAN RECEIVES TURKISH-SOUTH KOREAN FRIENDSHIP MEMBERS AND DAEWOO COMPANY'S PRESIDENT IN SEOUL
Erdogan received Turkish-South Korean Friendship Association members, Daewoo company's president and had dinner with Turkish businessmen in Seoul.
During his meeting with Daewoo company's president Dae Reaing Kang, Prime Minister Erdogan told him that Turkey was a favourable country for foreign investors, he gave information about the facilities provided and he invited Kang to make investment in Turkey.
Kang said in his part that negotiations continued to make joint venture in southeastern Gaziantep province.
In the dinner with Turkish businessmen, Prime Minister Erdogan listened to the views and demands of the businessmen. Recalling that South Korean citizens collected 2 million dollars during the earthquake disasters in Turkey and sent this money to Turkey, Erdogan said that the bilateral relations should be further improved.
Stating that distance between South Korea and Turkey was not an obstacle to Turkey's exports to this country, Erdogan said that Turkey exported most of its products to the United States after Europe.
Erdogan said that South Korea was not much open to imports, but it was warm to the idea of making joint investment.
Noting that some steps would be taken during his meeting with President of South Korea on Monday, Erdogan said that mutual visits would also increase between the two countries.
Erdogan stated that Hyundai made 270 million U.S. dollars of investment in Turkey and noted that there were also talks regarding work machines of Sanko Holding to be produced in Turkey.
Prime Minister Erdogan added that Foreign Economic Relations Board should be more active in improvement of relations between the two countries.
