Turkey Speeds Up Its Preparations For Negotiations With E.U.

ANKARA - Turkey speeds up its preparations before EU Summit that will be held at the end of this year as it targets to get a negotiation date from EU for full membership.
If Turkey gets a negotiation date from EU, the government will appoint a chief negotiator. The chief negotiator can be from private or public sector who has negotiation talent, who is an expert of EU law, who can represent Turkey and who can work in harmony with the government.
Meanwhile the concerned units of the state target to finish the adjustment studies as soon as possible prior to the Progress Report that would start to be written by EU in July and August.
Before starting negotiations, Turkey has to determine which regulations and which fields would have priority in respect of fulfillment.
In the coming months, regulations about State Aids and Regional Development Agencies are expected to be adopted.
