Bush: Wolfowitz 'ought to stay' at World Bank

WASHINGTON - US President George W. Bush said Monday that embattled World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz "ought to stay" in his post and urged restive bank directors to give him a fair hearing.
"He ought to stay, and he ought be given a fair hearing," Bush said as he welcomed European Union leaders to the White House for the annual US-EU summit.
Bush says missile defense in Russia's interest
US President George W. Bush, seeking to overcome Russia's strong opposition to a planned US missile shield, said Monday that the proposed system was in Moscow's interest.
"Our intention is to say to Russia that 'the system is something you ought to think about participating in,'" Bush said.
