Tuzmen: We Will Give State Support Worth Of 325 Trillion Liras To Exporters In 2004

ANKARA - State Minister Kursat Tuzmen said on Saturday that the government would give 325 trillion liras of support to exporters in the year 2004.
Speaking to A.A correspondent, Tuzmen said that the state subsidies given to overcome the difficulties of exporters would continue and this support would further increase in the coming years.
Stressing that the state subsidy was given within the rules of World Trade Organization, Tuzmen said that the state support would be in the form of supporting research and development, market research, fairs, education, employment, trade and patent support abroad. Tuzmen said that this year they would particularly attribute importance to create trademarks.
Tuzmen said that state aid given to small and medium scale enterprises were very beneficial, adding that the aim was to make all small and medium scale enterprises be exporters. He stressed that the biggest share in state aid would be given for fairs abroad, adding that ''fairs abroad play an important role in increasing our exports.''
