ISTANBUL - 10th Eurasia Economy Summit will kick off on May 2nd in Istanbul, with the participation of 30 countries.
Eurasian Economic Summit organized annually by the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, will take place in Istanbul Chamber of Commerce between 2-4 May.
The Summit will focus on topics such as "energy geography and global actors", "international economy", "tourism and cultural cooperation", "growing importance of diaspora in a global world", "Middle East", "Iraq and peace", and "cooperation opportunities in Eurasia."
High ranking officials from the government are expected to attend the Summit, including Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc, State Minister Kursat Tuzmen, National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul, Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu, Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan, Industry & Trade Minister Ali Coskun, Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler, and Culture & Tourism Minister Atilla Koc.
On the other hand, former president of Turkey Suleyman Demirel, former presidents of Bulgaria and Romania will assess Eurasia in the Summit.
