BURSA - Exports of textiles from northwestern province of Bursa increased by 32.3 percent, and exports of ready-to-wear clothing rose by 13.9 percent in January 2004.
Uludag Exporters' Association told the A.A correspondent on Saturday that exports of ready-to-wear clothing and textiles amounted to 116 million 272 thousand U.S. dollar in January 2004. This figure was 94 million 649 thousand U.S. dollars in the same month of 2003.
Exports of textiles increased by 32.3 percent to 60 million 523 thousand U.S. dollars in January. Exports of ready-to-wear clothing amounted to 55 million 749 thousand U.S. dollars in the same month.
The region exported textiles to six free zones and 71 countries and autonomous regions, and exported ready-to-wear clothing to four free zones and 57 countries and autonomous regions.
