Early Elections Will Be The Best For Turkey, Mumcu

ANKARA - "Holding early elections will be the best for Turkey. The ruling party is responsible for things to happen from now on," the Motherland Party (ANAVATAN) leader Erkan Mumcu said on Wednesday.
Responding to the questions of reporters, Mumcu said, "whether or not we be present at the Parliament for (the first round of) the presidential election on Friday, holding early elections will be salutary for Turkey."
Mumcu said presidential election could take place after early general elections, noting that there was no other way but to call the ruling party to act with common sense.
Asked if there would be parliamentarians choosing to go to parliament for presidential election on Friday, Mumcu said, "I can only express the stance of the party but the parliamentarians are free in their decisions ."
