Attempted Attack On Yok Chairman Tezic -efforts Are Underway To Capture The Assailant, Onal

ANKARA - "Gendermarie teams are exerting efforts to capture the person who came to the Higher Education Board (YOK) Headquarters to attack YOK Chairman Prof. Dr. Erdogan Tezic," Ankara Governor Kemal Onal said on Wednesday.
In an exclusive interview with the A.A correspondent, Onal said, "a person, about 30 years old, was reported to come to YOK building and said he wanted to meet YOK Chairman. When the guards got suspicious of his acts, the assailant stopped a passing by car by threatening the driver with his pistol. The guards pursued the taxi and the assailant fired shots in the air after noticing he was being followed and he managed to escape."
