I Will Be The President Of Turkey, Gul

ANKARA - "I will see our differences as our richness," said Foreign Minister & Deputy Premier Abdullah Gul, candidate of the ruling Justice & Development Party (AKP) for president, on Wednesday.
Gul answered questions following his contacts with the independent MPs in the parliament.
Gul said, he told the political party leaders and MPs that he met since yesterday that if the parliament elects him as the president, he is aware of the responsibilities attached to the position.
"In this respect, I will be the president of Turkey. I will definitely see our differences as our richness. Since I will be representing the Republic of Turkey and the unity of Turkish Nation, I will act in a way that is above politics," he added.
It is entirely within their discretion to support or not, said FM Gul, regarding the reaction of other political parties in the parliament.
