Gul Says He Will Not Withdraw Candidacy

ANKARA - AKP`s presidential candidate, Foreign Minister and Deputy Premier Abdullah Gul stressed that the presidential election process still continued and he did not think of withdrawing his candidacy.
Replying to questions, Gul underscored that his candidacy was not "a decision taken overnight", on the contrary, it appeared as a result of long surveys and exchange of views.
"The process still goes on. We should all wait for the decision of the Constitutional Court," Gul affirmed.
"As the issue is on the agenda of the court at the moment, it will not be right to express any opinions. The court will take the accurate decision and we should all respect that," Gul added.
