ANKARA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Rauf Denktas, TRNC Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat and TRNC Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas left Ankara for TRNC on Friday.
Ertugrul Apakan, the Director General of Foreign Ministry's Cyprus Department, also went to TRNC.
Rauf Denktas, Talat and Serdar Denktas had come to Ankara on Wednesday.
A Cyprus summit was held in Ankara on Wednesday with participation of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, TRNC President Rauf Denktas, TRNC Prime Minister Talat, and TRNC Foreign Minister Serdar Denktas.
A statement released at the end of the summit had stressed that the common target of Turkey and TRNC was to reach a fair and lasting peace in Cyprus.
TRNC President Rauf Denktas decided on Thursday to spend another day in Ankara.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with TRNC President Denktas and other officials on Thursday evening.
Following the meeting, Erdogan stressed that Turkey and TRNC were walking on similar course for similar goal by forming a common view while TRNC President Denktas had hinted that he might go to New York for Cyprus talks on February 10.
