EDIRNE - Security forces intercepted 25 foreigners and two Turkish people in northwestern province of Edirne while they were trying to cross the border illegally.
Sources said on Friday that in their controls in Meric and Ipsala towns of Edirne, Gendarmerie teams captured two Turkish people and 25 foreigners of Mauritanian, Iraqi, Indian and Burmese origin while they were trying to flee to Europe via Greece.
Officials said Turkish people were sent to the Prosecutor's Office while those foreigners would be deported.
