ANKARA - Banks' credit volume increased 2.5 trillion Turkish liras (TL) to 57 quadrillion 222.4 trillion TL between January 16 and 23, 2004.
The total credit volume at banks was 57 quadrillion 219.9 trillion TL on January 16.
The credits given to financial sector were composed of 836.9 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 1 quadrillion 620.4 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
The credits given to non-financial sector were composed of 157.6 trillion TL of loans given by Central Bank, 49 quadrillion 885 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 4 quadrillion 722.5 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
