ANKARA - Foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts increased 424 million U.S. dollars to 71 billion 623 million U.S. dollars between January 16 and 23, 2004.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 71 billion 199 million U.S. dollars on January 16.
Foreign exchange deposits increased 354 million U.S. dollars to 54 billion 67 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits increased 349 million U.S. dollars to 51 billion 538 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits increased 5 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 528 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market decreased 56 million U.S. dollars to 555 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts decreased 258 million U.S. dollars to 17 billion 298 million U.S. dollars between January 23 and 30.
