ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has spoken to Syrian President Bashar al-Asad by phone.
Releasing a statement on Friday, Prime Ministry Press Center said that Asad offered his and Syrian people's condolences due to accident in Konya province to Erdogan.
Asad reiterated that he was very pleased with sincere interest which was shown to him and accompanying delegation during their visit to Turkey.
The statement said that Erdogan and Asad took up starting talks on free trade agreement, setting up free trade zones and improvement of economic relations between the two countries during phone conversation.
It noted that the two leaders also discussed agreements on preventing double taxation and encouraging investments to be approved as soon as possible and come into force.
