ANKARA - Turkish Constitutional Court chief justice Tulay Tugcu, her Deputy Hasim Kilic, members and foreign judges visited Anitkabir on wednesday, the Mausoleum of Ataturk, Founder of Turkish Republic, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Constitutional Court.
Tugcu laid a wreath on the Mausoleum, and the delegation observed a minute of silence.
European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) President Jean Paul Costa, Turkish judge Riza Turmen in ECHR, and other officials attended the ceremony.
Signing Anitkabir Special Register Tugcu wrote, "we have fulfilled our duties towards the Turkish Republic and to insure the prosperity of the nation by defending human rights and complying with the Constitution and principles of the law during our 45-year history."
Tugcu also noted, "we will continue to preserve and boost basic rights and freedoms."
