Counter - Narcotics Operations

EDIRNE/ISTANBUL/ANKARA/TARSUS - Security forces impounded 356.7 kg of heroin, 107 kg of hashish and 79 gram of cocaine in counter-narcotics operations in the cities of Edirne, Istanbul, Ankara and Mersin.
Security forces seized 30.7 kg of heroin stashed in 60 packages hidden in cache of a lorry in the Kapikule border crossing in Edirne.
In Istanbul, security forces confiscated 326 kg of heroin and 90 kg of hashish in several operations.
Meanwhile, 79 gram of cocaine was seized in the capital city of Ankara.
Security forces detained 63 people for their alleged involvement in illicit drug trafficking during the operations.
