Police Arrest Wanted Suspect Of Sivas Arson Attack

SIVAS - Police captured Ahmet Kaskaya who was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison on charges of involvement in arson attack on the Madimak Hotel in Sivas which claimed 37 lives 11 years ago.
Sources said on Thursday that Kaskaya who had been detained by the police, was arrested and put into prison under the decision of the Sivas Chief Prosecutor.
Officials said Kaskaya had been wanted by the police under a warrant of arrest as the court had sentenced him to 7.5 years in prison in his absentia on charges of involvement in arson attack on the Madimak Hotel in Sivas.
Burning of the Madimak Hotel on July 2, 1993 claimed 37 people.
