Slovenian Defense Minister Erjavec Visits Gonul

ANKARA - Slovenia's Defense Minister Karl Erjavec on Tuesday visted Turkish National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul.
Speaking at the meeting, Gonul said there were close ties between Turkey and Slovenia, indicating that Turkey attached importance to Slovenia.
Gonul said Erjavec's visit would contribute to bilateral relations, and noted that, "economic and trade relations are not in expected level."
Erjavec in his part said both countries exerted necessary efforts to maintain peace and tranquility in the Balkans, and added that Slovenia would extend necessary support to Turkey's EU bid during its rotating presidency at the beginning of 2008.
