Baykal-Gul Meeting Ends -We Had A Beneficial Meeting, Gul

ANKARA - We had a beneficial, clear and honest meeting with Mr. Baykal, said Turkish FM Abdullah Gul --who is Justice & Development Party`s (AKP) candidate for presidential election-- following his meeting with Republican People`s Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal at CHP HQ on Tuesday.
Gul told reporters that he will hold meetings with all political parties at Turkish Parliament and ask for their support.
"Certainly, decision belongs to Mr. Baykal. He will announce his decision," he added.
"This is how election process works. Someone becomes candidate, and then visits others, and asks for their support. We respect those who both give support and not. These are best parts of democracy. These are the best signs which show democracy works," noted Gul.
Gul said that everybody can have different opinions in pluralism. "We respect all of them. I did what democracy necessitates. I clearly asked for the support of Mr. Baykal," he added.
