ISTANBUL - Security forces intercepted on Tuesday 31 foreigners in Bakirkoy district of Istanbul who had entered Turkey illegally.
Acting on a tip-off, security forces stopped and searched a pickup truck.
During the search, they found 31 foreigners of Iranian and Georgian origin hidden in the vehicle.
The foreigners including eight women were taken into custody for violating Turkish borders and passport law.
They will be deported once the legal proceedings are completed.
