Arinc: I'm Not A Candidate For Presidential Election

ANKARA - "I am not a candidate for the presidential election," Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc said on Tuesday.
Replying to questions before he congratulated Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul who was declared by PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan as the presidential candidate, Arinc noted, "Mr. Gul deserves to be our candidate due to his qualifications. I hope that Mr. Gul will get elected."
"As Mr. Prime Minister said, the parliament will make the (final) decision. I congratulate him on his candidacy," Arinc added.
