Number Of Foreigners Visiting Turkey On Rise

ANKARA - The number of foreign tourists visiting Turkey in March 2007 is up by 19.3 percent over same month of 2006.
Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK) released on Tuesday figures of foreigners visiting Turkey in March 2007.
According to the data by TUIK, the number of foreigners visiting the country in March reached 1,099,960. Germans ranked first among foreign tourists visiting Turkey.
On the other hand, the number of foreign tourists arriving in Turkey rose 17.4 percent to 2,601,433 in the Q1 when compared to the same period of 2006.
