ANKARA - Turkey will participate in 129 fairs abroad in 2004.
Officials said that international trade fairs constituted very important opportunities for companies which wanted to have a place in foreign markets.
The rate of Turkish companies' participation in international fairs increased by 55.4 percent in the last five years.
Turkish companies will attend international fairs in several cities including New York, Cairo, Paris and Shanghai and exhibit many products such as ready-to-wear clothing, furniture, food and automotive products.
A total of 413 fairs will also be held in Turkey in 2004. Fairs will be held in Istanbul, Isparta, Denizli, Gaziantep, Adana, Antalya, Trabzon, Burdur, Bursa, Ankara, Mugla, Samsun, Konya, Hatay, Kutahya, Kocaeli, Izmir, Yalova, Giresun, Eskisehir, Manisa, Kayseri, Ordu, Edirne, Corum, Afyon, Malatya and Zonguldak provinces.
