Exports From Gap Region To E.U. Countries Increase By 27 Percent In 2003

GAZIANTEP - Exports from Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) region to European Union (EU) member countries increased by 27 percent in 2003 when compared to 2002.
According to information from Southeastern Anatolia Exporters' Association, GAP region exported 228 million 159 thousand U.S. dollars of products to EU countries in 2003. This figure had been 179 million 313 thousand U.S. dollars in 2002.
The region exported textile products, dried fruit, grain-cereals, livestock and aqua products to EU member countries.
GAP region exported products to Italy, Germany, Greece, Britain, France, the Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Finland and Austria.
