Atacanli: Turkish Side Is Ready To Do Its Utmost For A Solution To Cyprus Issue In 2004

ANKARA - Presidential Chief Advisor for Foreign Affairs Sermet Atacanli said on Friday that Turkish side was ready to do its utmost for a solution to the Cyprus issue in 2004.
Speaking at a press briefing at the Cankaya Presidential Palace, Atacanli said that they were informed about Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's meetings in the United States, noting that they hoped that this visit would be beneficial for Turkish-U.S. relations.
Atacanli said that they hoped that the Cyprus issue would be solved by May 1 and stressed that Turkish side was ready to do its utmost for a solution to be found to the issue in 2004.
Upon a question, Atacanli said that Turkey's views on Iraq issue were known and added that a change should not be expected on this issue.
