ANKARA - Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank increased by 163 million U.S. dollars between January 16 and 23, 2004.
According to the Central Bank's weekly bulletin, the Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves which were 34 billion 4 million U.S. dollars on January 16 increased to 33 billion 841 million U.S. dollars on January 23.
Total foreign exchange reserves of banks and private finance organizations decreased 151 million U.S. dollars from 14 billion 262 million U.S. dollars to 14 billion 111 million U.S. dollars between January 2 and 9.
The international reserves of Turkey comprising gold reserves and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, commercial banks and private finance organizations decreased 508 million U.S. dollars from 49 billion 543 million U.S. dollars to 49 billion 35 million U.S. dollars between January 2 and 9.
