WASHINGTON D.C. - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is currently in the United States on an official visit, met on Wednesday with U.S. Secretary of Treasury John Snow and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Horst Koehler separately.
U.S. Treasury Undersecretary John Taylor was also in attendance at the meeting between Erdogan and Snow.
IMF First Deputy Managing Director Anne Krueger, IMF European I Department Director Michael Deppler and IMF Turkey Desk Chief Reza Moghadam attended the meeting between Erdogan and Koehler.
The scheduled meeting between Prime Minister Erdogan and U.S. Secretary of Trade Don Evans could not be held due to intense program of Erdogan.
Evans is expected to meet with State Minister Kursad Tuzmen on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will meet with U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell.
