ANKARA - Ahmet Gundel, retired public prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeals, filed a criminal complaint against former Land Forces commander retired general Aytac Alman, former Air Forces commander retired general Ibrahim Firtina, former Naval Forces commander retired admiral Ozden Ornek and former Gendarmery Forces commander retired general Sener Eruygur for "infringing the constitution".
In his petition of complaint, the prosecutor pointed to the military coup plans which were alleged to exist in Ozden Ornek's diary.
In his complaint, Gundel described these plans as "very serious threats aiming to subvert the democratic regime that has improved for decades".
