Tender For Sale Of Former Carlton Hotel Lot

ISTANBUL - Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) will reinvite bidders tomorrow for the sale of former Carlton Hotel lot in Yenikoy district of Istanbul belonging to Toprak Holding.
The tender for the lot with an estimated value of 49,562,613 YTL (approximately 36,177,089 USD) will be held in TMSF building in Esentepe district.
No companies had submitted proposals for the initial tender on April 3rd, 2007.
Officials said the news about a "settlement license permission problem" in the press were not true and said the former Carlton Hotel lot did not have any license problems.
Officials pointed out that on the occasion that buyers don't show interest in the tender, the TSMF would take over the lot as a set-off for its receivable.
The lot with a circumference of 6,674 square meters has a construction license for a hotel and is neighbour to Sait Halim Pasha Mansion and Hagia Nicholas Museum.
