38th Congress Of Ciesm Begins In Istanbul

PRINCE ALBERT II OF MONACO: -"THE MEDITERRANEAN AND DEEP WATER IN STRAITS HAVE NOT BEEN ADEQUATELY STUDIED BIOLOGICALLY"

ISTANBUL - "The Mediterranean and deep water in the Turkish straits have not been adequately studied biologically. We are planning projects in this direction. Research ships from other countries will also participate in the research," said Prince Albert II of Monaco who also serves as the President of the Mediterranean Science Commission (CIESM), on Monday.
Participating in the 38th Congress of CIESM in Istanbul, Prince Albert II noted that "former Byzantine city Constantinople and today's Istanbul is highly important city. Istanbul brings together cultures and ethnic groups."
According to Albert II, the CIESM covers a wide area. "Our commission works with independent experts," said Albert II.
"More than 700 presentations will take in the current congress. We pay high attention to the preservation of Mediterranean coasts and ecosystems," remarked Albert II.
