ANKARA - "As the public and private sector representatives of the countries of the Turkic world, we aim to decorate our region with qualifications which will carry it to the front lines among other countries in the 21st century in accordance with innovative and developmental opinions," said Turkish Public Works and Housing Minister Faruk Nafiz Ozak on Monday.
Delivering a speech at the "Turkic World Architecture and City Planning Assembly" in Ankara, Ozak said they had important responsibilities in areas of architecture and city planning regarding the future of the society.
"Representatives of the Turkic world who gathered here, should carry out activities that would lift the cultural geography to a universal dimension in a way that would strengthen regional cooperation," Ozak said.
Underscoring the importance of constructional security in Turkey as well, Ozak said, "as countries of the Turkic world, we should include the constructional security issue to the decisions to be made at this meeting in order not to face a dangerous future."
Ozak also indicated that he hoped the decisions to be made at this assembly would be milestones which would contribute to the improvement of internal cooperation in the Turkic world.
