Erdogan: Barzani Crossed The Line With His Recent Statements

ANKARA - Responding to Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party (IKDP) leader Masoud Barzani's recent statements that "if Turkey intervenes in Kirkuk, the IKDP will intervene in Diyarbakir," Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan indicated today that "Barzani has crossed the line (of diplomacy) with his recent statements."
"If Barzani is satisfying himself with such remarks, it is his own business. However, the Republic of Turkey does not need such satisfaction," noted Erdogan.
Erdogan underlined that "the north of Iraq is a neighbor of Turkey. Barzani is making a mistake by making such remarks. The penalty of such remarks will be very heavy."
Erdogan stressed that "the leaders in north of Iraq should not make statements whose burden they can not carry."
