ANKARA - Responding to recent comments made by the leader of the Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party (IKDP) Masoud Barzani that "if Turkey intervenes in Kirkuk, the IKDP will intervene in Diyarbakir," Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen indicated that "Turkey's hand is solid like iron for those who are not friends and no one should doubt Turkey's strength.
Tuzmen remarked that, in an atmosphere where Turkey lost nine soldiers as martyrs in two days, no one should make Turkey a matter of domestic politics (as in north of Iraq).
"Turkey's hands are warm and friendly for friends. Those who are not friends of Turkey are destined to feel Turkey's iron fist," added Tuzmen.
