Ssm Eyes Offers For Lpd Project

ANKARA - Turkish Defense Industry Undersecretariat (SSM) has started the tender process for the landing platform dock (LPD) project.
The project aims at strengthening logistic structure of the Turkish Naval Forces Command.
SSM took the first step in the project by releasing a request for information (RFI) document in its web-site.
The companies which are willing to submit offers will be able to request the document by sending an e-mail including their company name and detailed contact address to "[email protected]" Then, the document will be sent to the related companies by e-mail.
Deadline for requesting the document from SSM is set as May 4th, 2007.
Under the project, SSM will purchase a LPD together with four Landing Craft Mechanics (LCM), 27 Amphibious Assault Vehicles (AAV), two Landing Craft Personnel Vehicles (LCVP), one Commander Boat and one Rubber Hull Inflated Boat (RHIB).
