World's Highest Quality Pine Nuts In Turkey

IZMIR - Turkey exports world's highest quality pine nuts from Bergama town of Aegean city of Izmir.
One kilogram of the pine nut is exported for 20 USD.
Kahraman Agricultural Products Company Director Celalettin Yildiz told A.A that they export pine nuts to Middle Eastern and EU countries, adding that they produce 1,000 tons of pine nuts a year, and this year's production reached 1,500 tons.
Yildiz said that they expect to earn 40 million YTL (1 USD = 1.37 YTL) from export of pine nut this year.
Yildiz said that pine nuts are especially shipped to Italy and Spain, adding that China, India and Afghanistan are also producing pine nuts but the highest quality pine nuts grow in Turkey.
