Cyprus And Iraqi Issues Come To Agenda In Erdogan's Meeting With Finance Circles In U.S.

NEW YORK - Issues of Cyprus and Iraq have come to agenda during the meeting of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan with finance circles in the U.S.
Turkey's Cyprus policy was asked to Prime Minister Erdogan during his meeting with representatives of the leading U.S. investment institutions in New York on Monday.
Erdogan told the circles that the policy of 'give and get rid of Cyprus' was out of question and that the Turkish side was sincere for finding a solution.
Noting that TRNC and Turkey acted in full consensus, Erdogan said that Turkey was a step further than the Greek Cypriot side.
Reminding the elections in Greece, Erdogan said that he was worried about Greece's pursuing populist approaches towards the Cyprus issue due to that. Erdogan stressed that the good will steps of the Turkish side should be seen by everybody.
Iraqi issue also came to agenda during the meeting.
Erdogan said that Iraq became a springboard of terrorists. Finance circles asked Erdogan's views about the terrorist attacks that took place in Istanbul last November.
Stressing that an international consensus was necessary for fight with terrorism, Erdogan said that the internal connections of the attacks were clarified, but its international connections were still being investigated.
Erdogan said that calling these terrorist attacks as attacks of fundamentalist or Islamic terrorism would be wrong, stressing that murder had no place in Islam.
