Gul: We Attribute Importance To Appointment Of An Influential Mediator

ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul has said, ''we attribute importance to appointment of an influential mediator to accelerate the process of finding a solution to the Cyprus issue.''
Responding questions of journalists, Gul said on Monday, ''we attribute importance to appointment of a very influential and impartial mediator to accelerate the process of finding a solution to the Cyprus issue.''
Gul added that Turkey would prefer a name who could make influential contributions to the process.
