TEHRAN - Industry and Trade Minister Ali Coskun who came to Iran on a three-day official visit met on Sunday with Iran's East Azerbaijan state governor Mohammad Ali Sobhanallahi.
Coskun said that Sobhanallahi and he took up how relations could be further improved in their meeting in East Azerbaijan state's capital city Tabriz.
Stating that customs gates were opened for improvement of trade between the two countries, Coskun said that but there were still some obstacles in that field.
Coskun said that the two countries would exert necessary efforts to improve common investments and trade.
''We want to improve commercial relations with Iran. Turkey has to make more exports to this country in order to remove trade deficiency which stems from Turkey's importing natural gas from Iran,'' Coskun stated.
Coskun will attend the First Meeting of Industry Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Tehran on Tuesday and he will return to Turkey on Wednesday.
